An overview.

  • A doublehanded around-the-world race in 6 legs over 8 months

  • Start in Lorient, France in August/September 2025

  • Stopovers in Cap Verde, La Réunion, Australia, Chile, Brazil (details will be published soon)

  • Only 2 people on board (Skipper + Co-Skipper)

  • Approx. 30.000 nautical miles = 55.560 kilometers

  • Passing the 3 great capes – the Cape of Good Hope, Cape Leeuwin and the famous Cape Horn

  • Raced on Class 40 boats – a 12m long racing machine, with a high international level

  • Crew can be changed during stopovers

  • Global media coverage

Our plan.

  • Our goal is to buy an older generation Class 40 in 2024

  • Prepare the boat and bring it up to Class 40 and Globe 40 race rules at The Boatshed Wales

  • Qualify for the Globe 40 race

  • Enter international inshore and offshore races in 2024 and 2025

  • Visit boat shows with the boat in 2024, e.g. Southampton Boat Show for more visibility.

  • Be at the starting line of the Globe 40 race in August/September 2025

The skippers.

A team that has proven to work together perfectly. After racing together on the Mini 6.50 in 2023, both are highly motivated to step up on the Class 40 and race around the world together!

  • Lisa dedicated her life to the sailing and racing world, especially solo and doublehanded racing. Step by step on the way to reach her big goal of racing around the world.


  • A passionate sailor with many miles in the wake, rigger, sailmaker - with Jade on board we will be able to solve any problem that may occur!
